Four cafeterias in the Delhi Airport have been constructed using materials such as recycled metal and plastic, building scrap and machine parts. The lights, seating, tables, and ceiling have incorporated such materials which were available due to the renovation of two terminals in the airport.

A spokesperson from the airport has said that: "Furniture has also been built out of scrap and reusable fabric. We have also reused concrete leftover boards to cover the exposed wires and surfaces of the walls. Lampshades put in the cafeterias are also made from recycled material. As the airport expansion works are underway, we expect to process massive quantities of waste or refurbished materials and use those creatively to build several such facilities."
