At Film Chamber in Hyderabad this morning, the producers' councils of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh held a join press conference. C Kalyan said that it was in 2009 that Telangana Film Chamber came into existence.
"This meet is meant to clear the confusion of those who are entering the industry anew. These two Chambers haven't given away any awards officially, and they won't give any in future. The AP and Telangana Film Chambers are working as government-recognized organizations," he said.
He touched upon the disputes that are of late rising related to title registrations. "To address this, we have instituted a separate Ad Hoc Committee to look into the matter. Don't be fooled by unofficial organizations," he cautioned.
Shivaji Raja, the President of Movie Artistes' Association, said, "There is only one MAA for both the States".
Telangana Film Chamber representatives Murali Mohan said, "For the sake of lands in Telangana, new associations are coming up".
Speaking in a metaphorical language, C Kalyan liked Telangana CM KCR and AP CM N Chandrababu Naidu to two fathers. "Our (film chambers') mother is one, but fathers are two," he said.
