In China, a burglar's botched robbery attempt sparked town chatter for its amusing twist. Yang, the thief, broke into a Yunnan province home, planning a heist but dozed off during the act, leading to his arrest. Around midnight on November 8, Yang entered a house in Yunnan, hearing people inside. Waiting for them to sleep in another room, he lit a cigarette and fell asleep himself, as per South China Morning Post.
The homeowner, Tang, ignored loud snoring, assuming it was a neighbor. Later, while attending to her child's milk bottle, she realized the noise was from another room. Opening the door, she found a stranger peacefully sleeping. Tang alarmed her family and alerted the police, who apprehended the man.
Yang had prior burglary convictions, serving time in 2022 and recently released in September before returning to theft. Authorities are currently investigating the case.
