The hero of hi-tech heist `Bunty Chor' was quite a sensation few months ago when he attempted to steal some money and a vehicle   from a big mansion in the capital city. Inspired from this attempts is the new movie `Bunty Chor' which tries to bring some thrills with the thief in the centre. This is the debut movie from Mathews Abraham who learned the art from his miniscreen ventures.

`Bunty Chor' opens with the  shots of the hi tech thief attempting a big robbery in the house of an affluent rich man who happened to be a part of royal family. Bunty is planning to seize some sketches of the passages to the richest temple in the world, but in the process he also takes with him a big suit case of unaccounted money.  Arun (Sreejith Vijay) and Dinesh (Praveen Prem) are two youngsters who happened to be in the capital city in the hope of flying abroad, but as the recruitment agency has fooled them, they take refuge with a friend Faisal, who is an ardent Mohanlal fan.In the days that they decide to find a job in the city to meet their needs, Bunty Chor amidst his frantic efforts to keep away the chasing policemen hits Dinesh and leave him injured. By the time he is captured, Bunty also drops the suitcase with lots of money into Faizal's  vehicle. The threesome is left in the hospital where they all find their lady love , one as the mute patient in the next bed,  the other as the doctor working in the same hospital and third as a girl whom Faisal meet in a dilapidated lift which goes stuck. With three ladies and a bag of money, the three youngsters starts to plan their future. But all goes not as expected as Bunty jumps out of the hands of the policeman and embarks on a vehicle to spot the missing money and the sketches for his biggest operation.

As a debutante director Mathews Abraham has managed to weave a watchable movie out of a plot that seems good on Paper. The story by Shebi Chowghat, about three unemployed youth who unexpectedly gets into the way of the hi-tech thief, sounded reasonable. The execution but puts away the logical ways to hit upon that thriller quotient of the Bunty chasing the guys with a sensor like that in Oscar winner  `No county for Old Man'. The dialogues are also of average quality which could have been scripted far better to make a much decent stuff. The actors in the fray like Sreejith Vijay, Ajay Nataraj and Nixon C George as Bunty  performs well but Praveen sounded a little out sync with his ways to create fun, which affects the mood of the film. The technical sides of the movie including the camera by Prashanth Krishna are also average. The BG scores by Rony Raphel and the songs are mediocre.

Overall, this `Bunty Chor' may  entertain those who has an appetite for thriller genre.
