Vishal Dadlani, the music director of Allu Arjun's 'Naa Peru Surya', embarrassed himself on Saturday night after Arun Jaitley increased customs duty to 200 percent on all goods imported from Pakistan. Mockingly describing Jaitley as a "nationalist-economist" and taking a dig at the decision, the Bollywood film personality angrily asked why exports too from India to Pakistan shouldn't be taxed hugely. This resulted in much trolling.
"When you increase customs duty, Pakistani goods will be costlier. So, Indian merchants will buy from other countries and it makes domestic producers competitive via-a-vis Paki pricing. So, people will buy domestically. Basics, my dear Watson," one Ashu said, educating Dadlani.
The music director later deleted the tweet.
