BTS' Suga played host to idol and actor Hwang Min-hyun on the 16th episode of his fun show, "Suchwita." BangtanTV shared the episode on YouTube where Suga shared a hilarious story from his training days with BigHit Music. He discussed topics like K-pop idols' makeup, taking breaks, the BTS ARMY, the neatest member of the group, and BTS' next chapter.
Talking about being discovered, Suga reminisced, "Once in Seoul, a BigHit manager handed me his business card and asked me to audition. I was on my way to school, a black minivan pulled up, and they said, 'Interested in joining an entertainment agency?' I replied, 'Sorry, I'm a BigHit trainee.' They were like, 'Oh really?!'"
Suga also recalled being part of a music video before debuting with BTS, mentioning the legendary "SeeU." He humorously shared, "Even J-Hope, Jimin, and Jungkook were dancing at the back."
Regarding makeup, Suga said, "Idol makeup makes us look 2D, like cartoon characters with dark-rimmed eyes and colored contacts." He praised the BTS ARMY, saying, "Our fans, called ARMY, sound like they'll protect us from everything."
Suga revealed that in the group, RM wasn't the tidiest roommate, yet he now keeps a super neat house. "It felt like betrayal seeing his new place," Suga laughed.
Discussing their journey, Suga explained, "We concluded our Chapter 1 nicely as BTS. We're doing solo promotions and waiting to come back as a team for the next chapter."
Suga emphasized the importance of rest, saying, "I used to obsess over outcomes and work hard. But during album preparations last year, I realized taking breaks is crucial. Without rest, I'd get sick."
Ending on a friendly note, Suga told Min-hyun, "We should meet more often, we're similar."
