Rana played an idealist in Leader. He played a psychologically weak character with suicidal tendencies in Nenu Naa Rakshasi. He was selfish to the core but subconsciously good in Naa Ishtam. Krishnam Vande Jagatgurum sees Rana in the role of a practical man who believes in analyzing the society than reading literature.

KVJ is about how B.Tech Babu's world view changes for good when he meets Devika. While Babu is playing a self-centred person, concerned with himself, Devika plays a documentary filmmaker. Nayanatara's character has a shade of idealism to it.

Thus, we are in for a film on the lines of Gamyam, minus an underdog (played by Allari Naresh in that film).

Currently being shot in Hyderabad, this Krissh film is set to be released for Dussera. KVJ is a bi-lingual. Cinematography is by Gnana Sekhar. Music is by Mani Sharma.
