Vidhu Vinod Chopra's maiden Hollywood venture 'Broken Horses' will be converted into a novel and will also get a global release. The original story written by the producer - director Vidhu Vinod Chopra & Abhijat Joshi will be simultaneously released as a novel in US, UK and India. The film gives Vidhu Vinod Chopra a rare distinction to be the first Hollywood film written, produced and directed by an Indian.
The spokesperson from Vinod Chopra Films confirmed the story. The trailer of Broken Horses which was launched by the legendary actors Amitabh Bachchan and Aamir Khan has been creating buzz globally, as words of praise coming from Hollywood legends like James Cameron and Alfonso Cuaron have already created an excitement for the movie goers. Set in the shadows of US-Mexico border gang wars, Broken Horses is an epic thriller about bonds of brotherhood, laws of loyalty and futility of violence. The film has been written by Mr Chopra and Abhijat Joshi and is based on an original story by Mr Chopra.
'Broken Horses' principal cast features Vincent D`Onofrio (THE JUDGE, FULL METAL JACKET), Anton Yelchin (LIKE CRAZY, STAR TREK), Chris Marquette (ALPHA DOG, THE GIRL NEXT DOOR) and Maria Valverde (EXODUS). Chopra`s technical crew on the film included Director of Photography Tom Stern (HUNGER GAMES, THE CHANGELING), Production Designer Toby Corbett (BAD LIEUTENANT) and Composer John Debney (IRON MAN 2).
Distributed and Marketed by Fox Star Studios in India, Broken Horses will hit the theaters on April 10, 2015.
