Britney Spears' father was removed from his controversial role as his daughter's guardian on Wednesday by a Los Angeles judge, ending a long and bitter legal battle by the pop princess. And the diva posted a jaw-dropping photo to celebrate this milestone

Spears' father has controlled her life for the past 13 years, under a controversial legal arrangement that the 39-year-old US singer has slammed as "abusive" and that her lawyers had demanded to be scrapped.

Dozens of supporters gathered outside the Los Angeles courtroom ahead of the hearing carrying colorful signs with slogans such as "Jail Jamie" and the ubiquitous "Free Britney" plea that has been taken up around the world by her supporters on social media.

Following the landmark verdict on Thursday, the singer took to her social media handle sharing some jaw-dropping photos of herself. Posing with nothing but her sculpted nude body by her bathtub, she wrote, "playing in the Pacific never hurt anybody..."

The singer, who is likely to be freed to make her own decisions in November, also clarified that her stunning toned body was not a work of photoshop. Sharing a couple of emoticons she said, "Pssss no photo edits … the tub curves." In a recent video, she also shared a video of her enjoying the time of her life on a private island where she reached through a yacht.
