More than a week after he contracted novel coronavirus, British Prime Minister Boris Johnson was Sunday night admitted to an undisclosed hospital in London. As per media reports, the PM is still suffering lingering symptoms of COVID-19. There is nothing much to worry, as his health condition is reportedly stable.
"It was not an emergency. We have admitted the PM to the hospital on doctor's advice as a precautionary step," the Prime Minister's Office has been quoted as saying. "On Boris Johnson’s condition, I am told the problem is that the symptoms are persistent and refusing to clear up. They are, I am informed, not getting worse," said James Forsyth of The Spectator.
The 55-year-old Johnson is the "first known head of government to fall ill with the virus".
