It is known that Chiranjeevi was recently conferred with the Indian Film Personality of the year 2022 award at the International Film Festival of India, Goa. On Saturday, British Deputy High Commissioner Gareth Wynn Owen personally congratulated the Megastar.

The 'GodFather' actor received the dignitary at the Chiranjeevi Charitable Trust building in Jubilee Hills. Owen lauded Chiru's achievements as an actor and as a philanthropist. "His social activities have saved thousands of lives. We hope to work together in order to enable the film Industry to have great relations with Britain," the dignitary said.

On his part, the 'Waltair Veerayya' actor said, "The gesture will inspire thousands more to keep donating blood. Since the Trust's inception, about 10 lakh units of blood have been donated. About 9060 individuals have regained their eyesight due to the eye bank. The CCT oxygen banks in 32 districts have ensured the free availability of oxygen supply during the pandemic."

Dr. Madhavi Garu, the CEO of the Trust, was also present on the occasion.
