The Tollywood drugs case first came to light in the year 2017. The news is that Rakul Preet Singh has been summoned by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in relation to a development related to that case.

The ED asked the star actress to appear before it on December 19 in Hyderabad. "The summon has been sent to the actor in connection with a case investigating alleged money laundering via drug trafficking," reported Republic TV a while ago.

It may be recalled that, in the Tollywood drugs case, big names of Ravi Teja, Puri Jagannadh, and others cropped up. They all received a clean chit from the SIT.

As for Rakul, her most recent Hindi film release is 'Doctor G', a medical comedy directed by newcomer Anubhuti Kashyap. The film starred Ayushmann Khurrana as the hero. Shefali Shah and Sheeba Chaddha were also seen. The 'Cuttputlli' and 'Runway 34' actress will next be seen in 'Chhatriwali', among other films.
