Vijay Devarakonda has announced the release date of 'NOTA'. It's Oct 5. The political thriller will hit the screens simultaneously in Telugu and Tamil. Ravi Teja's 'Amar Akbar Anthony' has been unofficially deferred.

The 'Geetha Govindam' actor plays a political greenhorn who is thrust into the centre of politics by circumstances in this much-awaited entertainer. "I have no experience," he says but grudgingly takes up the mantle in the film's trailer. There is corruption all around. Nasser plays a wily politician who seems to allow a fake godman to rule by proxy. Sathyaraj has a key role.

Mehreen Pirzada, who needs a hit, plays a journo and she is the heroine. Music is by Sam CS. Cinematography is by Santhana Krishnan Ravichandran. Editing is by Raymond Derrick Crasta. Art direction is by DRK Kiran.
