The novel Coronavirus has been shaking China and other countries for a few days now. India has on Thursday registered its first case of Coronavirus. The patient is a Kerala-origin student of China's Wuhan University and is currently in isolation in a hospital.

"The patient is stable. Soon after the test came positive, health authorities were updated at the highest level. The Kerala Health Ministry has gone into an emergency huddle," a report says.

The Union Health Ministry has said that the case could be detected because of a strict vigilance at about 21 airports in India. Those entering the country with a history of travel to China have been observed and tested for Coronavirus. About 800 have been kept under observation in India.

More than 170 deaths have been registered in China. Thousands have been infected in many countries.
