Breaking! Chinmayi banned from dubbing

Famous singer and dubbing artist Chinmayi has delivered a shocking news. The Tamil film industry's dubbing artists' union has terminated her membership. Which means she can no longer dub for a Kollywood movie.

"Given to understand that I have been terminated from the dubbing union. Which means I can longer dub in Tamil films henceforth. The reason stated is that I haven’t paid ‘subscription fees’ for 2 years though this hasn’t stopped them from taking 10% off my dubbing income," Chinmayi today said.

Note that this ban comes only weeks after the brave lady courageously exposed iconic and influential lyricist Varaimuthu as part of the #MeToo movement.

"I expected the first axe to go down from the dubbing union. I don't know yet if I will be given my membership back. Just a decision that’s been taken without informing me that my membership is terminated. I am still on the much publicised concert tour in the US," she said, adding that '96' could be her last Tamil movie.

It has to be seen if Kollywood's famous stars will stand up for Chinmayi.
