Breaking: CBFC chief out, lyricist replaces him

Controversial CBFC chief Pahlaj Nihalani has been shown the door. He has been sacked by the government in a welcome decision. Prasoon Joshi, the famous Bollywood lyricist, will replace him.
The decision was announced on Friday evening. Pahlaj was waiting to walk into the sunset. He stoked a number of silly controversies during his stint, the most recent being his beef with the word 'Intercourse' in 'Jab Harry Met Sejal'.
Prasoon is not only well-qualified, but also has a poetic bent of mind. He should make a sensible chief, much to the relief of cinema-lovers and votaries of Freedom of Expression. Members of the film fraternity are welcoming this change ushered in by the Centre.
