Bollywood actor Irrfan Khan (54) is no more. He passed away on Wednesday a day after he was admitted to Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital in Mumbai after he fell sick due to a colon infection. "He was surrounded by his family as he breathed his last," an ANI report says.
The versatile actor, known for his subliminal performances, was diagnosed with a neuroendocrine tumour about two years ago. The 'Lunchbox' and 'Angrezi Medium' actor had undergone treatment for the same last year.
Just the other day, the actor's mother Saeeda Begum died at 95. Irrfan attended her last rites via video call due to the lockdown.
Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's condolence message confirms Irrfan's death. "Shocked to hear of the demise of Irrfan Khan, one of the most exceptional actors of our time. May his work always be remembered and his soul rest in peace." Social media influencer @GabbarSingh said, "Irrfan khan. A gold mine we could just un-earth few nuggets from. Nobody can replace him. Nobody. RIP."
IndiaGlitz extends sincerest condolences to the bereaved family of the renowned actor. Om Shanti!
