Prominent BJP leader Jyotiraditya Scindia and his mother Madhavi Raje Scindia have on Tuesday tested positive for Coronavirus. They have been admitted in Max Hospital in Delhi.

They were first reported to have been admitted to the hospital after showing Covid-19 symptoms. Latest reports confirm that they have tested positive for the virus.

In March, Jyotiraditya Scindia defected to the BJP with his MLAs, causing the downfall of the Congress government in Madhya Pradesh. It's because of the support of himself and loyalist MLAs that Shivraj Singh Chauhan became the CM of MP by booting out Kamal Nath.

Earlier in the week, there were rumours that he would once again shift loyalties to the Congress party. Scindia indirectly silenced the rumours through a Twitter post
