Eesha Rebba has high hopes on 'Brand Babu', which will hit the screens on August 3.  In this interview, the Telugu girl fields questions related to the film, her atypical role in the comedy, working with Maruthi and Prabhakar, doing 'Aravindha Sametha' and more.

'Brand Babu' is an interesting title.  What is the rationale?

The hero's (Sumanth Shailendra) family is obsessed with brands.  They are too brand conscious.  Even when they are seated at a dead body, they think sobbing will affect their brand. It's a hilarious take on their quirky ways.

What's your role in the movie?

I will be seen as a servant maid.  Some miscommunication leads to severe misunderstandings.  There is comedy to a good extent.  But the film is not just a comedy.  There are doses of family sentiment, etc.  It's a film with the stamp of Maruthi garu.  

The chemistry between a servant maid and a rich man should be hilarious.  Is it your role that interested you the most about 'Brand Babu'?

The story is 90 percent important to me.  The rest, I go by my character.  The love story that develops between a maid and a rich guy is told in an entertaining fashion in the movie.  

How was it working with Sumanth Shailendra, Maruthi and director Parky Prabhakar?

Sumanth Shailendra is a Kannada actor, who has done 3-4 films over there.  He is a professional actor and comes to the sets after learning his lines properly.  It's Maruthi garu who narrated the story to me.  As for the director, he is a chilled out person.  Although he is very senior, he is not strict.  His instructions were very useful to me.  He showed me how to imbibe the body language of a maid.  On my part, I observed my own maid in order to learn how the maids clean a table, etc.  

'Aravindha Sametha' with NTR and 'Subrahmanyapuram' opposite Sumanth are your two films.  Tell us about them.  

I will be seen as one of the leading female roles in 'Aravindha Sametha'.  She is a Hyderabadi girl who comes with a rebellious attitude.  My second schedule for the movie will be canned in the month of August.  It was great working with NTR garu in the first schedule.  As for Sumanth's 'Subrahmanyapuram', it's a supernatural thriller.  

How do you react to gossips about you?

Sometimes I am surprised.  Sometimes I laugh.  Sometimes, I wonder as to how they concoct such stories.  

Is remuneration paramount for you?

It's not.  I don't insist on the money.  The nature of the project is important to me.  As I said, I give utmost importance to the story, followed by my character.  

You have done something like 6-7 movies.  And you recently bought a car.  How do you see the journey?

There have been ups and downs.  When my first film flopped, I was down but since I got busy with my second project, it was a shortlived disappointment.  I know that not every movie can be a hit.  I am a positive thinker.  By the grace of the industry, I recently bought a car.
