Associate director Kishore, and two camera assistants belonging to the crew of Brahmotsavam were taken into custody hours earlier. They were caught filming the auspicious Ratha Saptami event at Tirumala without possessing any permit document. Srikanth Addala, too, was present in Tirumala while the secret filming was going on. However, he is not there among those detained.

Reportedly, the holy event was being filmed clandestinely by the three technicians. The cameras in their hands are learnt to be of high quality.

When the police caught and inquired them as to why they were filming without permission, the videographers reportedly admitted that they were doing it for the purpose of the film Brahmotsavam.

The police are in the process of taking the inquiry to the next stage.

Reportedly, the police are under pressure to pursue the incident and interrogation to logical conclusion. It has to be seen whether criminal cases will be filed against them (and everyone with stakes in the footage) or they will be let off after the footage is taken possession of by the police.
