A Brahmin group recently approached Star MAA TV with an objection. In a written letter, it held that a task assigned by the bigg boss offended Hindu sentiments.

"In one of the first few episodes, the contestants were asked to keep a 'Homam' going for a certain period of time. One or another contestant was seen pouring ghee into the 'Homam' while doing chores like brushing, etc. Some of them were seen wearing slippers while pouring 'ghee'. This is improper because 'Homam' is highly sacred in Hindu tradition," the association said.

The group added that it is not against the concept of reality show per se.
