Brahmin group protests against Krish-Vijayendra Prasad's film

It seems the nation-wide popularity that Karni Sena gained after their beef with 'Padmaavat' has inspired another casteist group to create a controversy around another Bollywood film. This time it's 'Manikarnika', directed by Krish and written by Baahubali's Vijayendra Prasad.
As per reports, an outfit called the Sarva Brahmin Mahasabha has given the Rajasthan government a deadline of three days to act on its demand to stall the movie. The organization has claimed that the historical film features an objectionable song involving Rani Laxmibai (Kangana Ranaut) and East India Company's British agent. Unless the makers assure them that there is no such song, the outfit won't let them shoot the movie in Rajasthan.
The Mahasabha's leaders are planning to call on Governor Kalyan Singh and Home Minister Gulab Chand Kataria regarding this matter.
Krish and Co are currently shooting the movie in Jhunjhunu. The film is slated to be released in June.
