Brahmastra', which hit the screens on Friday, reportedly made about Rs 38 Cr (Nett.) in India. This is a non-holiday record for a Bollywood movie. About Rs 6 Cr came from the South Indian versions of the epic fantasy adventure.
The worldwide Gross of the movie is estimated to be Rs 68 Cr or so. The makers, however, released a poster that says the Day 1 figures are at Rs 75 Cr.
As per a trade analyst, the Saturday collections are very good and the Ranbir Kapoor-Alia Bhatt starrer might cross Rs 40 Cr (nett.) on Day 2. If this turns out to be true, then the film is enjoying positive 'word of mouth'. If Day 3 figure is more than what entails on Day 2, it will be even bigger!
Film critics have given mixed reviews. "Elements such as fire, water, wind, and earth define the attributes of the different Astras. This theme is used well to make the premise click. But the story, when elaborated, doesn't strike the right chord," our review of 'Brahmastra' noted.
