'Brahmastra' is the most hyped film of Bollywood at the moment and its makers want to make sure that it rules theatres throughout the country. In order to promote the film in South India, they have recruited popular filmmaker SS Rajamouli as the presenter of Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam versions of 'Brahmastra'.
During a recent promotional event for the film, Rajamouli spoke about how he came to know about 'Brahmastra' and why he decided to associate himself with this project. According to a recent report in Pinkvilla, Rajamouli said, "There is a lot of difference between the kind of cinema Karan Johar makes and I make, but I admire his passion for cinema. 5 years back, he told me about Brahmastra with a mad boy called Ayan Mukerji. I agreed due to respect I had towards him. I knew nothing about the film."
The filmmaker further added how the narration of the film reminded him of his childhood fantasies. He said, "When Ayan started narrating about these Astras to me, all my childhood fantasies came to life. He has put in a lot of energy in creating this Astraverse. Everyone is emotionally charged in using the weapons. This kind of film needs to be supported. Its about the superpowers we have in our culture, forklore. Everything about Brahmastra is in Indian tradition. I am doing all I can to represent the film in South markets."
Starring Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Amitabh Bachchan and Nagarjuna among others, 'Brahmastra' is set to release theatrically on 9th of September.
