Brahmanandam paid a bomb

The buzz is that star comedian Brahmanandam has been paid a bomb for the films 'Adhurs' and 'Namo Venkatesa'. Now everyone knows that he is the highest paid comedian in the industry and if the figures he has been paid for these two Sankranthi films are to be believed, you could say he is the costliest comedian in the country.

A mega crowd puller, he is said to have charged a whopping Rs. 1 cr. for 'Namo Venkatesa' and Rs. 80 lacs for 'Adhurs'. The figures are absolutely believable, given the kind of attraction Brahmi is.

When heroines, who have a meagre role in the film are paid a bomb, it is easily understandable that this important actor is doled out big bucks as fee.

The promotional ads and publicity stills of these films invariably feature the 'Laughter Brahma' alongside the hero, which means that the makers believe in his power.
