In a twist of small-world irony, Brad Pitt found himself face-to-face with his former in-laws at an art gallery opening in Beverly Hills last Friday. The 60-year-old actor, enjoying a date with girlfriend Ines de Ramon, encountered Jon Voight and James Haven, Angelina Jolie's father and brother, at the Gagosian Gallery, where director Bennett Miller was showcasing his work.

The unexpected meeting, in the relatively small space of the gallery, didn't go unnoticed. "It was understandably awkward," shared an eyewitness with The Sun, noting James' polite acknowledgment of Pitt while maintaining distance. The incident, instead of the art, became the main topic of conversation among guests.

While Pitt seems to have moved on with his new relationship, his past with Jolie continues to cast a shadow. The ex-couple remains entangled in a legal battle over their French winery, Château Miraval, after Jolie's decision to sell her share to a Russian oligarch, a move Pitt contested. This adds another layer to their already complex history, including their ongoing child custody dispute.

Adding to the tension, James Haven recently broke his silence about the 2016 incident that led to the couple's split. He spoke about the impact it had on their six children, emphasizing his role as a protective figure. "That's where it all started... the protection of her and then of her children," he stated in a podcast interview.

Considering the lingering tensions and Haven's recent comments, it's safe to say Pitt's presence wasn't met with warm regards. This chance encounter serves as a stark reminder of how closely intertwined Hollywood circles can be, even when marked by unresolved conflicts and family drama.
