During the promotions of his upcoming film 'Liger', actor Vijay Deverakonda shared his views on the biggest topic of discussion in Bollywood at the moment i.e, boycott trends. These days, some people run elaborate negative publicity campaigns against movies over some insignificant matter. Aamir Khan's 'Laal Singh Chaddha' and Akshay Kumar's 'Raksha Bandhan' were recent victims of this trend.
Talking to India Today, Vijay stated how boycotting a movie affects couple thousand families and their livelihood. The actor said, "There are 200-300 actors working on a film and all of us have staff members, so a film gives employment to many people and is a source of livelihood for many. When Aamir Khan Sir makes a Laal Singh Chaddha, it is his name that features prominently in the film, but there are 2000-3000 families that are being provided for. Hence you are affecting thousands of families.”
Released on the ocassion of Rakshabandhan with huge hype around it, 'Laal Singh Chaddha' could only manage to earn approx 50 crore INR in first week. Talking about Vijay, his film 'Liger' will the hit the theatres on 25th of August.
