Box office report: October 17, 2014

Last Friday news releases 'Ekkees Toppon Ki Salaami' (ETKS), 'Tamanchey', 'Spark', and 'Jigariyaa' failed to make any impact at the box office.

'Tamanchey' got the widest release among the four (850 screens) and registered a disastrous 1.03 crore weekend total.

ETKS released in 350 screens did better comparatively with les screen counts netting a weekend total of 93 lakhs.

'Jigariyaa' couldn,t touch the double figure in its weekend and ended up with a hopeless 8.60 lakh weekend total.

The fourth one Spark was even worse registering a 4.5 lakhs from its weekend. Less said about the collections of Ekkes Topon Ki Salami (ETKS), Tamanchey, Spark, and Jigariya after the weekend will be much better. All the four are disasters.

Bang Bang and Haider added some more to their kitty.

Bang Bang ended its second week run with a total of 243 crore nett overall. 167.92 Domestic 75.1 Overseas Bang Bang has beaten Jab Tak Hai Jaan to become the 5th most grossing film of all time in overseas territories. The highest GBO earner in 2014 with 75.1 core nett collections in two weeks.

Haider on the other hand was still able to find takers with a collection of 66.05 crore overall

With Happy New Year coming next Friday Bang Bang and Haider have one more week and a weekend.

But the pre Diwali null will be a spoiler at the most Bang Bang domestic will end up at around 170 - 175 crore in its third week.

'Haider' will at the most will reach 60 crore at the domestic box office in its third week run.
