From day one, 'Babu Bangaram' has been striking 'bangaram' at Box Office. Thanks to the unveiling of a fun-loving, 'jali'-showing cop in Venkatesh, Maruthi's popularity among youngsters and other factors like Nayanatara's presence, the August 12 release has been on a high.

The news is that this one has raked in the maximum collections in Venky's career (films like 'SVSC' and 'Gopala Gopala' which are not solo hero ones haven't been considered). 'Babu Bangaram' has, as on the end of the third day, collected more than Rs. 15 cr (including in Tamil Nadu and Rest of India). We learn that in Chennai, the film has been doing phenomenally well relative to Venky's previous films. The movie has been well-promoted over there. The theatres playing the movie are learnt to be gaining in footfalls.

Looks like the film is making the most out of the extended weekend. Friday was Varma Lakshmi Festival, and Monday is a public holiday. So, great going for the makers!
