`Boss Engira Baskaran' is a film directed by Rajesh of `Siva Manasula Sakthi' fame. Like his earlier film this one is also a feel good romantic comedy.

The comedy caper directed by Rajesh is an anticipated film because Rajesh has proved his mettle in his first film `Siva Manasula Sakthi'. The film brings together Arya and Nayanthara together for the first time. Other cast includes Santhanam and Vijayalakshmi.

K. S. Sreenivasan's Vasan Visual Ventures and The Show People have produced the film. Music is scored by Yuvan Shankar Raja who along with Na. Muthukumar rocked in `Siva Manasula Sakthi' with superior songs.

The music of `Boss Engira Baskaran' was released on August 27 by actor Suriya and Harris Jayaraj. The album has five songs all penned by Na. Muthukumar.

Ada Boss Boss  Listen here

Artist(s): Sathyan

Lyricist: Na. Muthukumar

Ada Boss Boss is the hero's character descriptive song. Simple base strings and minimal arrangements sound fine for this kind of song. Street smart words are apt.

Yaar Intha Penthaan  Listen here

Artist(s): Haricharan

Lyricist: Na. Muthukumar

Guitar opening suggests a Yuvanish tune and it is so. Haricharan renders this song placid and smooth. He also improvises many sangathi in this song. A bit bent on classical. Na. Muthukumar is seen in phrases like "Kannathil urasi en jenmam mudipen". Again not too many instruments and no intricate arrangements. This kind of rhythms and tune is child's play for Yuvan.

Thathi Thaavum Paper Naan  Listen here

Artist(s): Karthik

Lyricist: Na. Muthukumar

Thathi thaavum has Karthik at his best. He really feels smitten by a girl. Though doesn't sound different in special places this number is good as a whole. The jazz interludes with large trumpeting are a different feeling.

Iyley Iyley  Listen here

Artist(s): Vijay Prakash

Lyricist: Na. Muthukumar

Iyley Iyley is very normal and leaves no great feelings at the end. The harmony effect echoing through out the song and the skin taps makes no difference. Could have been a better number considering the formidable team in control.

Mama Mama  Listen here

Artist(s): Vijay Yesudas, Swetha

Lyricist: Na. Muthukumar

Mama mama is a real front bench mass song. A typical dupanguthu with loud beats and fundamental folksy `thathaku thathaku thathaku' rhythm. All the elements of this song are a bit exaggerated. The only duet of the album is also very conventional.
