Scripting work for the sequel of 1997blockbuster ‘Border’ is on. Helmed by the talented J.P. Dutta, the war epic was based on the Indo-Pakistani War of 1971.

The movie is an adaptation from real life events that happened at the Battle of Longewala fought in Rajasthan (Western Theatre) during the Indo-Pakistani War of 1971 and Bangladesh Liberation War.

The war epic starred Sunny Deol, Jackie Shroff, Sunil Shetty, Akshay Khanna, Pooja Bhatt, Sharbani Mukherjee and Tabu.

Scripting of the sequel is in on and not much details are available but J.P. Dutta is set to make his presence felt in the B-town with this flick.

Remembered for his lavish canvas and remarkable capability to present the deserts of Rajasthan on screen along with the guns and violence culture in the rural parts of India with movies like ‘Batwara’, ‘Gulami’, Yateem’.

J.P. Dutta introduced Abhishek Bachchan and Kareena Kapoor to Bollywood with ‘Refugee’.

We wish J.P. Dutta and his team all the best for the sequel of ‘Border’.
