There has always been the criticism of importing stories from other languages on the Telugu Film Industry.

For a change, in recent times the producers and directors from other languages are showing keen enthusiasm in remaking the original Telugu films.

In the interim, a variety of Telugu films are being remade in other languages like Tamil, Kannada and Hindi. To begin with, the hit film ‘Athadu’ is being remade in Hindi with Bobby Doel in the lead.

The monstrous hit ‘Pokiri’, is already being remade in Tamil and there is talk of recreating the film in Hindi also.

Latest to the join the bandwagon is the film ‘Anukokunda Oka Roju’. The film was a big success in Telugu and Charmi who played the central role in the film, stunned the audience with her down-to-earth performance in a totally de-glamorized role.

Director of the film Chandrasekhar Yeleti earned all-round applause for his direction. With his first film ‘Aithe’, itself he made a mark in the Telugu Film Industry.

His second film ‘Anukokunda Oka Roju’ is being remade in Hindi and will be directed by E.Nivas (‘Shool fame), a Telugu guy settled in Bollywood and worked as an assistant to ace director Ram Gopal Varma.

The film is a heroine-oriented one and Bhoomika will replay the role portrayed by Charmi in the original.
