There is need for more books on Dr Vishnuvaradhan, the icon of Kannada cinema who passed away on last December felt noted director Nagathihalli Chandrasekhar releasing the first book after demise of the actor ‘Kannada Sampathu’ (Treasure of Kannada).

“There are many books on Dr Rajakumar and it is time detail book on Dr Vishnu come to the market. I wanted to take up ‘Yayathi’ stage play to silver screen with Dr Vishnuvaradhan after ‘Mathad Mathad Mallige’. I have even discussed this aspect with Dr Vishnu”, disclosed noted director Nagathihalli Chandrasekhar.

Manjunath Addhe has written the book ‘Kannada Sampathu’ a book on Dr Vishnu. At the same function Pundalika Kalliganur ‘Preethi Male’ was also released.

Ranga Chetana Samskrithi Trust headed by DK Chowta father of music director Sandeep Chowta brought out the books on last Saturday in the presence of noted writer and director Agni Sridhar, producer of Kannada films Vijayakumar, T Nanjundaswamy and authors of the book on dais.
