In a recent interview, filmmaker Boney Kapoor revealed some details about their family's financial struggles during their childhood. He reminded me of the challenges his father, Surinder Kapoor, had gone through; he had lost ten jobs since he stood for workers' rights. Prithviraj Kapoor facilitated their relocation to Mumbai as a result.

Boney Kapoor disclosed, "My father had come to Bombay with Prithviraj Kapoor. My grandfather had entrusted my father to Prithviraj Ji because he had lost about 10–12 jobs. He faced expulsion due to his solidarity with the workers and his advocacy for their rights.

He also throws some light on the family's resolve not to work through the challenging times: "After my grandmother passed away, Anil and I decided he would act and I would take care of production. Someone had to be running things at home. My father's heart condition doesn't allow us to stress him."

Boney revealed the living condition of his father's marriage, whereby they used to stay in an outhouse of Raj Kapoor, which was generally meant for house help.

Boney reflects on his early career and recalls a challenging period: the death of one of his father's film directors coincided with the film's premiere, leading to a severe financial crisis and significant debt accumulation. He has seen a lot of hardships and difficulties but has still made a successful career in the film industry. His 'Maidaan' with Ajay Devgn and Priymani has collected Rs 31.86 crore across the world.

'Maidaan' encapsulates the story of a triumph at the 1962 Asian Games by coach SA Rahim and his football team. The box office film 'Bade Miyan Chote Miyan,' starring Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff, will be released.
