It's a known fact that Bollywood producer Boney Kapoor, actress Sridevi's husband will be bankrolling Thala Ajith's 59th movie which is the official Tamil remake of 2016 Bollywood hit Pink and will be directed by H.Vinoth of Theeran Adhigaaram Ondru and Sathuranga Vettai fame.

The ace producer had been in Chennai today and had went to Sangam theater to catch Thala Ajith's Pongal offering Viswasam. After enjoying the movie, the director had interacted to the media, as he opened up on Thala 59. Boney Kapoor said that Sridevi had wanted to remake Pink, and with Ajith giving his nod, they celebrated the confirmation of the project at their home.

An emotional Boney added that in a way both Ajith and himself are fulfilling her wish, and he wishes that people give a good response to Pink remake, and Sridevi would be watching her wish coming true from somewhere. Pink remake will have Ajith reprising Amitabh Bachchan's role from the original, while Vidya Balan will be roped in to play an important character.
