Movie `Bommarillu' produced by `Dil' Raju on Sri Venkateshwara Creations and directed by debutant Bhasker is a feel-good family entertainer.

Siddu (Siddhardh) is the second son of Arvind (Prakash Raj) and Jayasudha. Prakash Raj is the M.D. of a vast construction company. His family is a big one it consists of his wife, eldest son and his wife, his daughter and her two kids, and his youngest daughter. Sunil is the domestic servant of the family and does all the household chores.

Siddu has just finished his B.E. and only wants two things from life

a) A excellent career of his choice and b) To find the right girl and fall in true love, which should ultimately culminate in marriage.

But, Prakash Raj is an over zealous and caring father. He is the one, who finally decides what is good and bad for Siddu. He does all these things without getting to know the opinions and feelings of others in the family. It is he, who fixes the marriage of Siddu with a girl, who is from a wealthy affluent family without taking into the consideration the view of Siddu.

All Siddu does is nod his head at the decision taken by his father. By strange quirk of fate, he runs into Hasini (Genelia) at a local temple and it is love at first sight. He is bowled over by her charm and her down-to-earth conduct. Hasini is not your regular kind of girl. She loves all the simple things in life and is always full of vigor and verve.

By nature, she is an ebullient and fun loving girl. The tricks, she plays in the college earns her the name of spoiled brat and quite popular with all the boys in the college. Slowly and steadily Siddu is drawn towards her and expresses his feelings to her.

Prakash Raj comes to know of the affair and just wants Siddu to back off, as his marriage preparations are already on. Siddu asks for a time of seven days from his dad and brings Hasini to his house in an attempt to win over his family members. She stays in the house of Siddu as a guest and quickly all the family members are fascinated by her demeanors. She soon becomes cynosure of all the eyes. Soon, the deadline of seven days comes to an end, and she leaves everyone shell-shocked by refusing to marry Siddu.

What happens next is best on the silver screen. Will Prakash Raj change his attitude and outlook towards life and his family members? Will he say yes to the marriage proposal of the lovers in the end? Will the father of Hasini (Kota Srinivasa Rao) agree to give away his daughter to Siddu? If you want to know the answers for the above questions, go and watch the film `Bommarillu'.

The entire film revolves and runs around these three characters. The performances of all the three are topnotch. Siddhardh gives a settled and matured performance in the film. This film goes to prove that there is none to replace Siddhardh, when it comes to soft romantic and candyfloss type of films. Prakash Raj on the other hand, seasoned veteran that he is, has easily slipped into the character of father very admirably and has given a nonchalant performance. The performance of Genelia will be talked about in the days to come. The amazing act of hers has floored everybody. Just when, everybody was righting her off, she comes up with a truly startling and fantastic performance. The performances of these three overshadows and dominates the entire proceedings, leaving all the others way behind. Comedy of Sunil is humorously brilliant and his funny one-liners have the audience in peels of laughter. Jayasudha puts up a restrained performance. Veterans like Kota Srinivasa Rao and Tanikella Bharani performed quite well.

Direction of debutant Bhasker is first-rate. He has handled all the departments of filmmaking extraordinarily and creditably well. The screenplay of Bhasker
