Censor Board's revising committee has given Ranbir Kapoor and Anushka Sharma starrer 'Bombay Velvet' a U/A certificate which means the film can be seen by viewers of all ages but it comes with parental guidance for kids below 12 years of age.

The director of the film was convinced that his movie is not an adult film and the revising committee's decision just proves that he was right.

Anurag had great faith that the committee and believed that the correct certification will be given.

'Bombay Velvet' is a romantic thriller that is set against the backdrop of the 1960s Bombay. The film has Ranbir playing the role of the angry, young lover Johnny Balraj and Anushka Sharma playing the role of the singer Rosie Noronha. It also stars Karan Johar as the villain.

'Bombay Velvet' is set to release this Friday, May 15.
