Ace filmmaker S Ramanathan, the man behind popular films like ‘Bombay to Goa’ and ‘Ganga Jamuna Saraswati’ has left for heavenly abode.

The veteran director, who has mostly worked with Amitabh Bachchan, passed away yesterday morning in Chennai following cardiac failure. According to his son Subish Ramanathan was listening music when he suddenly collapsed and passed away.

Ramanathan’s last movie had been ‘Zamaanat’ that features Bachchan, Karisma Kapoor and Arshad Warsi and the project had been making for more than a decade, which eventually never saw the light.

The late filmmaker was very keen to release the film in spite of several odds he faced during the making, shared his son in an interview.

Besides Big B, Ramanathan shared good rapport with Mehmood.

IndiaGlitz deepest condolence to the family and friends of S Ramanathan....
