Sivakarthikeyan's film Amaran has been marked by significant success and acclaim. Directed by Rajkumar Periyasamy, this film is a biographical take on Major Mukund Varadarajan, an Indian Army officer and Ashoka Chakra recipient, with Sai Pallavi portraying the female lead. The film crossed a big number at the box office and registered a major success for everyone involved.
However, recent unsettling events have clouded the film's success. A petrol bomb attack targeted Alankar Theater in Tirunelveli, Tamil Nadu, where Amaran was being screened. This incident, carried out by two unidentified individuals, caused alarm among moviegoers.
Fortunately, no casualties were reported. The local police promptly responded, stating that a case had been registered and investigations were underway. Preliminary reports suggest that the attack stemmed from local disputes rather than being directly related to the film.
Despite this disturbance, Amaran continues to receive positive feedback from audiences and maintains strong momentum at the box office. The film, produced by Kamal Haasan under Rajkamal Films International, features music by GV Prakash, contributing to its overall acclaim.
