The day of sibling love has arrived - Raksha Bandhan! This is the time when a simple lovely decorated string becomes a powerful symbol of brother-sister bond. But we at IndiaGlitz explore the different side of this festival. What happens when there are two male siblings in the house and no sister in the family... Or Vice Versa... A cousin sister or brother is considered for the Rakhi tying ceremony. But things are different when distance matter and the two brothers (or two sisters) are left to simply celebrate the day with each other... On this occasion, we take a look at the popular bhai-bhai and behen-behen jodi films - popular stars who played siblings. (Keeping aside the "Twins" Love Here.) For instance, the latest one being 'Brothers', where estranged siblings Akshay Kumar and Sidharth share an intense relationship.

'Deewar' (1975) - The most iconic film of Bollywood which is based on two brothers, played by Amitabh Bachchan and Shashi Kapoor. Vijay and Ravi became household name then and the dialogue "Tumhare Paas Kya Hai?" is popular till date.

'Ram Lakhan' (1989) - Jackie Shroff and Anil Kapoor complimented well as brothers in this hit Subhash Ghai's directorial.

Aaina (1993) - Based on sibling rivalry, the film starred Amrita Singh and Juhi Chawla as sisters. While Amrita won Filmfare Best Supporting Actress Award, this Yash Chopra's production lit up Juhi's career. The film was remade into Tamil, Telugu and Kannada.

'Hum Aapke Hain Kaun' (1994) - Monish Behl and Salman Khan were the cinematic version of Ram and Laxman.

'Karan Arjun' (1995) - Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan's jodi hit success with this Rakesh Roshan's film. While one still wonders when the two superstars will come together again on big screens, their sibling avatars is still cherished till date.

'Haseena Maan Jaayegi' (1999) - David Dhawan's favourites, Sanjay Dutt and Govinda kicked up some fun as well as success together as mischievous brothers. Even Karisma Kapoor and Pooja Batra played siblings in this one.

'Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham' (2001) - One one side we had Shah Rukh Khan and Hrithik Roshan playing brothers while on other Kajol and Kareena Kapoor looked great as sisters. This successful Karan Johar's venture is still date regarded as a gem among family dramas of Bollywood.

'Laaga Chunari Mein Daag' (2007) - Although failed to make an impression at the box office, Rani Mukherji and Konkona Sen Sharma complimented well as sisters in the film. The film also had Abhishek Bachchan and Kunal Kapoor as brothers on the other side.

We know we have missed out many movies. Why don't you share those with us here? Post the films here in comment box...
