Bollywood stars Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt are now parents to a bouncing little baby girl. The actress arrived at the HN Reliance Foundation Hospital in Mumbai earlier this morning and gave birth to their daughter at 12.05 pm.

Sharing the news on her Instagram page, Alia Bhatt wrote, “And in the best news of our lives - Our baby is here.. and what a magical girl she is. We are officially bursting with love - blessed and obsessed PARENTS!!! love love love, Alia and Ranbir.” The couple tied the knot in a private ceremony at Ranbir’s Pali Hill residence Vastu in April this year.

“Today, surrounded by our family and friends, at home ... in our favourite spot - the balcony we've spent the last 5 years of our relationship - we got married. With so much already behind us, we can't wait to build more memories together ... memories that are full of love, laughter, comfortable silences, movie nights, silly fights, wine delights and Chinese bites,” Alia had written, alongside a series of pictures from her wedding.

“Thank you for all the love and light during this very momentous time in our lives. It has made this moment all the more special,” she added. The actress announced her pregnancy with Ranbir in June this year via a social media post featuring a picture of herself getting a sonography.
