Bollywood star to be Mahesh Babu's villain?

It's an interesting phase in South cinema when talented actors/writers/directors are taking a flight to other industries. Shankar and Lyca Entertainment have managed a casting coup by bringing Bollywood star Akshay Kumar to play the chief antagonist's role against Superstar Rajinikanth in the 2017 release 2.0. Looks like, Akki is here to stay with yet another big-ticket project down South in his kitty.
Yes, if the grapevine is to be believed, Akki will lock horns with Mahesh Babu in his next with AR Murugadoss. Mahesh is going to start shooting next month for his first Tamil/Telugu bilingual. There have already been reports suggesting that SJ Suryah is going to play one of the villains in this as yet untitled film. Now it is being said that Akshay Kumar will play the main villain opposite Mahesh Babu. Parineethi Chopra is most likely to play the heroine and now it looks like the project will be a Tamil/Telugu/Hindi trilingual.
This seems to be an entire possibility because Mahesh and Murugadoss could well prefer a stylish villain who is familiar to the audience. Moreover, if this film hits the marquee before Rajinikanth's 2.0, the makers will have stolen a march over Shankar.
