Bollywood 'Pizza' - a clarification from the producer

'Director Karthik Subbaraj's debut film Pizza' is one of the super hit and highly acclaimed films of the year 2012. Now the film is being remade in Bollywood. One of the producers of the Hindi version of this horror flick is Bejoy Nambiar, a fomer assistant to director Mani Ratnam and the film is being directed by Akshay Akkineni. Siddharth Roy Kapoor of UTV Motion Pictures is the other producer of the film.
Both Bejoy and Akshay have clarified that the Bollywood version will be different from Tamil original. Bejoy has revealed that they have only taken the essence of the Tamil script and it is just an adaptation and not a carbon copy.
The Bollywood Pizza' stars Akshay Oberoi, Parvathy Omanakuttan, Arunodhay Singh and Dipannita Sharma among others. The film will hit the screens on July 18.
