Yet another Bollywood icon to enter Tamil film industry

In a clear indication of the rising significance of Kollywood film industry in national and international arena, Bollywood icons have started making their Kollywood debut in recent years. Following Akshay Kumar ('2.0'), Vivek Oberoi and Anurag Kashyap ('Imaikka Nodigal) who has stepped into Tamil cinema as actors, Bollywood's young music sensation Amit Trivedi will be venturing into Kollywood as the music director of the Tamil remake of 'Queen'.
Director Ramesh Aravind who will be directing the Tamil and Kannada versions of the critically acclaimed Hindi flick has confirmed that news to a leading daily newspaper. Amit had scored music for 'Queen' which fetched the National Award for its lead actress Kangana Ranaut. Ramesh Aravind has said he will not be reusing any of the songs from the original and Amit will be composing a new set of songs and BGM suiting the tastes of Tamil audience.
Kajal Aggarwal and Priya Mani are playing the lead role in Tamil and Kannada versions respectively. Ramesh Aravind has roped in Tamil poet and lyricsit Tamizhachi Thangapandian to pen the dialogues for the Tamil film titled as 'Paris Paris'.
Thiagarajan holds the rights to produce all the four South Indian remakes of 'Queen'. The Kannada version titled as 'Butterfly' was launched recently and the shoot will commence on October 4th. The shooting of 'Paris Paris' may also being towards the end of this year.
