Famous music composer dies of COVID-19; AR Rahman and other celebrities condole death

Shravan Rathod of the famous composer duo Nadeem-Shravan died of Covid-19 at a Mumbai hospital on Thursday. The news of the 66-year-old artist's death was confirmed by his son Sanjeev Rathod.
Shravan Rathod was admitted to Mumbai's SL Raheja Hospital on Monday in a critical condition days after he tested positive for the novel coronavirus. The legendary music composer's son was quoted as saying, "He passed away around 10:15 PM tonight. Please pray for his soul." Several celebrities, including music director AR Rahman and singer Shreya Ghoshal, mourned his death. AR Rahman posted a tweet that read, "Our Music community and your fans will miss you immensely #ShravanRathod ji Rest in peace Respect and Prayers."
Shreya Ghoshal wrote, "Shocked to hear the news of Shravan ji (of Nadeem Shravan) passing away. A genuine humble human being and one of the biggest composers of our music industry. Another huge loss in this pandemic. God give strength to the bereaved family. Rest in peace." Shravan Rathod had composed numerous critically acclaimed songs, including some iconic numbers from the films Aashiqui (1990), Raja Hindustani (1996), to Dhadkan (2000), Raaz (2002), Hum Hain Rahi Pyar Ke (1993), among others.
