Last one year hasn't been good for the film fraternity of India. A number of iconic stars left the world and on Wednesday we lost yet another artist. Mandira Bedi's husband, filmmaker Raj Kaushal has passed away after a sudden cardiac arrest on Wednesday morning. He is survived by his wife and two children, Vir and Tara.

News of Raj's demise was made public by filmmaker Onir who tweeted, "Gone too soon. We lost Film maker and Producer @rajkaushal1 this morning. Very Sad. He was one of the producers of my first film #MyBrotherNikhil. One of those few who believed in our vision and supported us. Prayers for his soul."

Soon after this, several Bollywood stars and friends of Raj and Mandira expressed their condolences. Arshad Warsi wrote,"Today I lost a very dear friend, my condolences to his family. Known Raj Kaushal, for years, done a film with him, enjoyed every minute of his company. I have never seen a frown on his face, he was always smiling, always there if you needed him…will miss you brother… RIP."
