In the wake of Sushant Singh Rajput's death by suicide, the Hindi film industry has been receiving negative points. It has been accused of nepotism, de-platforming and worse. The latest salvo fired at Bollywood suggests that the Mumbai-based industry is worse in another respect.
BJP Vice-President Baijayant Panda has alleged that some personalities in the industry has got links with the mafia. "Bollywood had connections with mafia operating with Pakistan. Their funding also used to come from there. It looks like these connections still exist," the saffron leader on Thursday told ANI.
He added, "Friends of many celebs have pictures with Pakistan Generals and ISI. They should renounce such links."
Earlier, Panda tweeted that he had come across "shocking threads documenting personal and business links of some Bollywood personalities with certain Pakistanis and NRIs with undeniable track record encouraging violence in J&K, who have verifiable links to ISI & Pak army."
