The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) has been widening its probe into the Bollywood drug-nexus following Rhea Chakraborty's arrest, and a number of actors have allegedly been named in the issue, including Sara Ali Khan and Shraddha Kapoor.
The anti-drugs agency might summon the relevant actors by the end of the week, according to reports. In a recent development, a few mobile conversations involving drugs have come under the NCB's scrutiny and while the initials of the individuals 'D' and 'K' were revealed last night, the people were then allegedly identified as Deepika Padukone and her manager Karishma Prakash, who is employed at the Kwan Talent Management Agency. Meanwhile, late Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput's talent manager Jaya Saha was questioned by the NCB on Monday, which apparently led to numerous revelations. "During her questioning, the NCB got information about many persons allegedly having an active role in the Bollywood-drug nexus," an officer reportedly said.
An official has also mentioned that Deepika Padukone might be summoned for questioning if needed. "The NCB will first question Karishma Prakash and might summon actor Deepika Padukone if needed," the official said, according to a report. The NCB has arrested more than 12 people so far in connection with the drug angle in Sushant Singh Rajput's suicide. The actor was found hanging in his residence in Mumbai's Bandra on June 14. Sushant's girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty and her brother Showik have been arrested and are currently in judicial custody.
