During the interrogation regarding the drug angle in the Sushant Singh Rajput death case by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) on September 25, actress Rakul Preet Singh allegedly named four top celebrities and also confessed to her chats with Sushant's girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty, although she denied consuming any drugs, according to a report by a news agency.
Claiming that she had no connections with any drug peddlers, Rakul Preet strongly denied abusing drugs in the past. According to the report, sources from the NCB informed the news agency that Rakul Preet had also taken the names of four top actors as well as Karan Johar's Dharma Productions' executive producer, Kshitij Prasad. Rakul Preet reportedly stated that that "Prasad regularly procured drugs and supplied the substances to several celebrities." She further alleged that he gave the narcotics substances to "at least four stars." Kshitij Prasad has now been arrested by the NCB. Meanwhile, Deepika Padukone, Shraddha Kapoor and Sara Ali Khan, who were earlier summoned by the anti-drugs agency, arrived at Mumbai and are currently being interrogated. Deepika and Shraddha have reportedly denied consumption of drugs in the past while Deepika has admitted that the drug chat from 2017 which surfaced online recently, belonged to her. She had had the conversation with her manager Karishma Prakash.
Ahead of her interrogation, Deepika and her husband Ranveer Singh had met Mumbai's top lawyers at a five-star hotel for consultation. The second round of questioning has just begun and the interrogation is expected to go on for a while. Further updates are awaited.
