Allu Arjun has come in for a 'Thank You' note from Karan Johar's Dharma Productions and Bollywood filmmaker Rohit Shetty for mentioning 'Sooryavanshi' in his speech at the pre-release event of 'Varudu Kaavalenu' on Wednesday evening. Speaking at the event, Bunny said that there is a need to revive cinema and that the audience need to flock to theatres to watch the latest releases. Besides urging the audience to watch the upcoming Telugu movies 'Varudu Kaavalenu' and 'Romantic' (both releasing on October 29), the 'Pushpa' actor said that Akshay Kumar-starrer 'Sooryavanshi', too, needs the support of the audience. The Hindi film is coming out on November 5.
"As I said earlier, it’s not my film, it’s OUR film…Thank you for the love and support my brother. Wish you ALL THE BEST FOR PUSHPA (sic)," tweeted Rohit Shetty. Karan Johar described Bunny as an absolute superstar and thanked him for the wishes.
Speaking on the occasion, Bunny appreciated Naga Shaurya and Ritu Varma. He observed that there is a need for female technicians and crew members to increase in number in Tollywood like how it has been in Bollywood. 'Varudu Kaavalenu' is directed by a female technician named Lakshmi Sowjanya, who is a debutante.
